Young adults @ The Shed

We are delighted that Dorset Council has awarded us funding so that we can build on the work we started in the Spring with young adults.

This project is dedicated to those 18-25 year olds who find themselves in limbo between education, training and employment. We will be running practical sessions building skills in

sewing, textiles, arts and crafts. The project will have an emphasis on trying out new techniques and ideas within a supportive atmosphere.

We will be working with artists, pattern designers, sewers, graphic designers and business trainers.

Anyone aged between 18-25, interested in developing new skills is welcome to join in. No previous experience necessary. The group sizes are small so that we can foster a super friendly supportive atmosphere.

This project is participant led. If you have specific skills you would like to develop, then we will aim to arrange that opportunity for you.

We will be working with artists and practitioners in their studios. Do drop us a line if you'd like to join us for a session and we can let you know where we'll be meeting. Most venues will be in Bridport town centre. We have a budget to help participants with transport.

Tuesdays 1:30-3:30pm term-time only
